Chattogram Port Expansion to Ease Congestion Boost Regional Trade

Chattogram, Bangladesh – Ongoing expansion projects at the Port of Chattogram are expected to significantly alleviate congestion and bolster regional trade capabilities, officials announced this week. The port, Bangladesh’s busiest, handles over 90% of the country’s international trade, making its efficiency crucial for economic growth. However, persistent congestion has long been a bottleneck, leading to delays and increased costs for businesses.

The expansion plan, a multi-billion dollar undertaking, encompasses several key improvements.
